A monument at Memorial Park honoring members of the military received the endorsement of the Bethany City Council on Monday night.
The memorial has been proposed to be built at the site of the former croquet court along Grand Avenue. The Bethany Parks and Recreation Department has been reviewing the proposal. The monument, when construction, would be maintained by the parks department.
