Saluting our veterans: The new Military Memorial shines at night in a garden spot at Bethany Memorial Park established by the Littrell family in honor of military veterans and their families. The memorial will be dedicated at a ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. on Memorial Day at the site of the old croquet court on Grand Avenue. The monument sits atop a bluff that has a commanding view of the park and shelterhouse.
The new Military Monument, which was established at Bethany Memorial Park, will be dedicated in a ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 25, involving local veteran’s organizations and a bagpipe unit from St. Joseph.
