An Eagleville man faces burglary charges following an investigation of the theft of a kayak last July.
Bryan T. Wolfe, 31, waived formal arraignment on the charge during a hearing on Jan. 5.
Sheriff Trevor Place said in a probable cause affidavit that items related to a burglary were located at an address in Ridgeway. The resident there stated that the Pelican Trailblazer kayak “just showed up” from an acquaintance identified as Wolfe.
According to Place, Wolfe allegedly admitted to having additional items from the burglary and took officers to his residence in Cainsville where the items were stored.
Prosecuting Attorney Johnathan Meyer charged Wolfe with burglary in the second degree and stealing items valued at more than $750.
He is scheduled to appear in court for another hearing on Jan. 19.
