Friends, colleagues and family members gathered in the courthouse lobby Friday for a reception honoring Linda Anderson on her retirement as deputy clerk in the Harrison County Circuit Court.
Linda recalled that she started as clerk on Monday, Nov. 21, 1983, just before the Thanksgiving holiday. “I worked three days and got four days off for Thanksgiving. I thought this job was going to be okay,” she joked at the retirement party.
