Missouri Department of Conservation Biologist Jerry Wiechman, top photo, holds up fish taken from the Harrison Count Lake during the Kids’ Fishing Day at the lake on Saturday morning. Wiechman said the lake has a wide variety of fish ranging from channel cat to bass. The conservation department plans to introduce walleye to the lake in the near future, he said. Conservation agents, left photo, helped children bait hooks during the fishing day. Samantha Berry, bottom right, caught this good sized bass during the fishing day. The Bethany Fire Department cooked hotdogs for the children at noon. Other sponsors were the Bethany police, the Third Judicial Circuit Juvenile Office, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol.
