GRM receives $41.6 million for rural broadband

Announcing a big upgrade: Farm Service Agency Director Richard Fordyce speaks during the ceremony announcing a $41.6 million program to bring broadband to rural areas of northern Missouri and southern Iowa. The announcement was made at David and Barb Callaway’s farm, north of Bethany. Taking part in the announcement were GRM Network officials and state Representative J. Eggleston.

Several area residents gathered at the Dave Callaway farm, north of Bethany, on Friday afternoon to hear the announcement of a $41.6 million USDA grant and loan to GRM Networks which will bring broadband fiber to rural areas in northern Missouri and southern Iowa.
