Historical event: School board members Jack McCall and C. F. Rainey cut the ribbon during the open house Saturday afternoon at the South Harrison Middle School, which opens for classes in the fall. Taking part in the ceremony were New Hampton Mayor Charlie McKinny and Bethany Mayor Dick Graner, school board members and staff, State Rep. J Eggleston and representatives of the contractor, Lawhon Construction of St. Joseph. Middle school students were also invited to take part in the opening ceremony.
