South Harrison R-2 with Harrison County Health Department Administrator Courtney Cross announced Sunday afternoon that a student/staff has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The affected individual attends North Central Career Center. The individual is isolating at home. Close contacts are being identified by the school district and the health department at this time, according to the announcement.
“It is very important that anyone identified as a close contact of this individual follow necessary precautions to limit potential spread of infection. If you are not contacted by a county or state health official, then you did not come in contact with this person and you are not at increased risk for this virus,” the statement said.
