County sustained $2.4 million damage from torrent of rain

Harrison County sent preliminary damage estimates from the May 28-29 flood and hail storm to the State Emergency Management Agency on Friday.
County officials estimated that $2,429,844 in damage occurred to public and private property in the storm that caused record flooding and considerable hail damage.
