city-council copyMayor Dick Graner and the Bethany City Council, in a closed session on Tuesday night, moved to fill three vacancies on the City Hall staff.

Jonne Slemons, a retired Alaska government administrator, was appointed as the city administrator to replace Jan Hagler.

The council approved a contract with Tara Walker of a Trenton law firm as the city’s legal representative. City Attorney Cristine Stallings resigned from her position last month but continues to represent the city on some issues.

And, finally, the council approved Mayor Graner’s appointment of Trayce Anderson of Pattonsburg as the city treasurer. Current treasurer Becky Turley had previously announced her retirement from the position.
