The Bethany Memorial Park will become a winter wonderland on Saturday, Dec. 5, for the annual Christmas in the Park sponsored by the Bethany Area Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s event will be a drive-through affair from 5 to 7 p.m., but there will be opportunities to take pictures with Santa Claus in the park’s main shelter house.
The Bethany Parks Department has been working to light displays in the park in preparation for the event.
Brian Carter, president of the Chamber, said health precautions will be taken during the Christmas in the Park.
The Chamber of Commerce will be serving hot chocolate and individual packets of cookies to park visitors. A hand washing station will be available at the shelter house.
Visitors to the park are requested to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Harrison County Food Pantry.
Other events in the community on Saturday:

Five local homes will be spotlighted in the Holiday Homes Tour from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the South Harrison Prom.

Tickets are on sale at Pink Pig Boutique, Advanced Third, Blessed Nest and Eckard’s.

Craft and Vendor Fair
The Parent Teacher Organization will sponsor a Craft and Vendor Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the elementary school gymnasium.
