Surprise honor: Lt. General C. D. Moore II surprises Bueford Cooper of Ridgeway with the presentation of the Presidential Unit Citation Medal for his service with the 830th Bomb Squadron in World War II. The medal was presented at the 485th Bomb Group reunion in Dayton, Ohio. Cooper is pictured in his U.S. Army Air Force uniform during the war.

Ridgeway, MO: Bueford Cooper of Ridgeway, who flew 187 combat missions from Italy during World War II, was surprised to receive a presidential unit citation medal during a reunion of the 485th Bomb Group at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
The medal was presented by Lt. General C. D. Moore II, retired.
