Sharing the deer harvest: Paul Drummond had his pickup truck loaded down with packaged venison as volunteers prepared to distributed the meat as part of their Bounty Basket program. Some 450 baskets will be handled out through the program. Several area lockers are taking part in the Share the Harvest program through the Department of Conservation.
Volunteers gathered at the New Hampton Christian Church to begin sorting food packages for the Bounty Baskets that will be distributed before Thanksgiving to hundreds of families in Harrison, Gentry, Mercer and Worth counties.
