Update: Travis Gilliland arraigned in shooting

Ridgeway, MO: Travis Gilliland of Ridgeway was arraigned on Thursday morning on second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges in connection with the shotgun death of Lynn Trammell.

Mr. Trammell was shot during an altercation last Tuesday evening near the Ridgeway park on Locust Street.

Gilliland is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond. Gilliland’s family said he was transferred to the Mercer County Jail for safety following death threats from inmates at the Harrison County Jail.

According to a press release from Sheriff Trevor Place, law officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Locust Street in Ridgeway following a report of a shooting. The officers found a man later identified as Lynn Trammell dead of an apparent gunshot wound. An investigation was initiated by the Harrison County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
