Ramp closures planned on I-35 project

EAGLEVILLE, Mo. – As the Interstate 35 in Harrison County resurfacing project continues, Herzog Construction Company of St. Joseph contracted by the Missouri Department of Transportation, will close the southbound off and on ramps to U.S. Route 69 at the state line (Exit 116) and Eagleville (Exit 106) next week.

  • I-35 southbound to Route N – Oct. 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Route N to southbound I-35 – Oct. 22, 2 to 6 p.m.
  • I-35 southbound to U.S. Route 69 – Oct. 23, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • U.S. Route 69 to southbound I-35 – Oct. 23, 2 to 6 p.m. (may extend until Oct. 24)

Contractors began at the Iowa state line earlier this month and are working southward. Following the ramp closures crews plan to begin working on the northbound lanes and proceed in a similar mannar as to the southbound lanes. One lane of I-35 will remain open in each direction during the work, which could take five to six days to compelte with crews working daylight hours Monday through Saturday.

All work on should be complete by mid-November.

All scheduled roadwork is weather permitting and subject to change. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
