A woman was flown by helicopter to a Kansas City area hospital New Year’s Day when she was injured in a fire at a residence at 2006 Main Street in Bethany, according to the Bethany Fire Department. The fire was reported at about 8:05 p.m. The victim was found inside the house and was taken to HCCH before being transferred to a Kansas City hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
