
Hazelwood, MO: Robert Lee “Bob” Hardin, 91, of Hazelwood, Mo., formerly of Maysville, Mo., passed away on July 10, 2026, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri.
Bob was born on November 18, 1934, in Fairport, Mo., to Chester and Evalena (Casper) Hardin. On November 3, 1956, he married the love of his life, Moneta Sue Morgan, in Pattonsburg, Mo. Sue preceded him in death on September 23, 2006.
Bob was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bill, Jerry, and John Hardin.
He is survived by his three children, Joyce and Alan Bray of Kearney, Mo.; James and Mia Hardin of Maysville, Mo.; and Patsy and Wes Cook of Hazelwood, Mo. His brother, Ron of Maysville, he was a proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy, and several nieces and nephews.
Bob spent most of his life in the Maysville and Fairport communities. Due to age and declining health, he moved to Hazelwood and spent the last eight years of his life living with his daughter, Patsy, and her family.
He attended country schools in the Fairport area and graduated from Maysville High School in 1952. Following graduation, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952 until 1954. Bob spent most of his working years as a truck driver. Throughout his career, he worked for Bill Casper, Pedro Boyer, and Bram Funeral Home before retiring from MFA in Maysville after more than 20 years of service.
Bob will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to family, and the friendships he built throughout the Maysville and Fairport communities. His quiet strength, kindness, and dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
