
Bethany, MO: The Highway Patrol reported that a man identified as Edgar Y. Martiniz-Rameriz, 36, of Olathe, Kansas, was arrested Saturday morning following an incident at the Maverik convenience store involving an attempted vehicle theft, with a child in the car. Persons at the station intervened to detain the man, with the child escaping unharmed.
Martinez-Rameriz, who had a Honduran identification card, was charged with a Class B felony of attempted child kidnapping and a Class B felony of tampering in the first degree. He currently is in the Harrison County Jail.
