
Ridgeway, MO: Katherine “Kathy” Linthacum, 63, Ridgeway, MO passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2026.
Kathy was born on July 3, 1962, in Kansas City, Kansas. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy and later built a successful career as an insurance underwriter.
A woman of strong faith, Kathy lived her life guided by kindness, compassion, and love for others. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Kathy was immensely proud of her family and spoke of them often, finding great joy in their accomplishments, milestones, and everyday lives. She never met an animal she didn’t love. Her home was always made brighter by the presence of her treasured dogs and cats, who held a special place in her heart.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, Greg Linthacum; her brothers, George (Jerri) Scott and Don (Joy) Scott; her son Michael (Kelly) Stoop and her beloved grandson, Hanlon Stoop; and her stepchildren, Adam Linthacum, Jessie (Adam) Burrows, Cassi (Jesse) Johnson and Dena (Zach) Alliet. Kathy has many more grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all love her dearly. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Clyde Scott; mother Teresa Scott; older brother Douglas Allen Scott; younger brother Dennis M. Scott; and son Caleb Linthacum.
Those who knew Kathy will remember her for her loving nature, her gentle encouragement, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. She touched many lives through her generosity and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and all who loved her.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
