
A house located in New Hampton burned out of control in the early hours of Friday morning. Although the family was home during the fire they evacuated the house with the only injuries belonging to the father, who sustain burns to his arm.
New Hampton, MO: The Bethany Fire Department received a dispatch call at 2:41 a.m. for a fire just outside New Hampton on January 2nd. The New Hampton Fire Department was the first unit on the scene and called for backup as the flames grew out of control. By the time BFD had made the eleven-mile trip, the house was fully engulfed. The cause of the fire was traced back to either a wood stove or a breaker box, as reported to the fire chief.
