Blythedale, MO: (Right) During the Blythedale Free Fair, a parade kicked off Saturday night’s events. An old International Harvester Tractor brought up the end of the parade. As the tractor rolled by, two kids opened their sacks, each scoring a direct hit into their bags. This prompted the kids to celebrate the literal sweet shot. (Middle) During the fair, some kids discovered the perfect combination– a snow cone and a ride on the Ferris wheel; whereas, others took the opportunity to wave to their parents or just point at friends. (Left) Lines quickly formed for all the rides at the fair. Chaos erupted from flocks of children rushing to be first in line. A young girl sticks her tongue out at a friend as she passes by during a ride on the swings. The oppressing heat wave that the county had experienced broke at the right time for the festival, making a nice evening of enjoying rides, games and country music.–Republican-Clipper photos
