Bethany, MO: Patricia Jischke passed away May 10, 2026 at the age of 77 years old. She was born April 15, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Pasquale “Pat” and Irene (Allen) Verive.
Patricia cherished her family, friends and her fur baby’s. She was very generous and valued helping the ones she loved. She had a passion for reading and learning. She had a terrific sense of humor. Known to be a prankster at times.
Patricia grew up in the Chicago area with her parents and three siblings. While attending school she worked at JC Penney’s in Winston Park Plaza. She is a graduate from East Leyden High School. She worked for Hines VA Hospital for many years. She retired from the VA Hospital as an IT Tech.
Around the time she started working for the VA she married Frank Jischke. She and Frank had two children, Michelle and Martin.
After she retired from the VA, she moved to Bethany, MO to be close to her mother and brother. Once settled in she started working for H&R Block as a tax preparer.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank; her daughter Michelle; her son Martin; her brother Joe; and nephew Jimmy.
She is survived by her sister Annette and husband Dave; her brother Tom; grandchild Morgan; Michelle’s partner John; nieces; nephews; cousins; extended family; friends; and her beloved fur baby’s.
Patricia will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Patricia’s family would like to acknowledge John for his dedication to Pat after Michelle’s passing. He cared for and assisted Pat when able to. The family also acknowledges Sam and Mae for their care of Pat and support during this time.
