The scenic Bohemian Cemetery on a hillside above the Thompson River, southwest of Cainsville, is the final resting place for families who emigrated from Central Europe more than 150 years ago. The well-kept cemetery is located in a grove of pine trees, accessible from Route B.
Cainsville, MO: Precious ones from us are gone. Voices loved are stilled. Places vacant in our home. That never can be filled. Klesalek monument, Bohemian Cemetery.
Those words above are from the gravestone of one of the pioneer families buried in the Bohemian Cemetery, overlooking the Thompson River south of Cainsville.
