The entire cast of Dearly Departed gathers on the stage for the final act of the play. The Turpin family holds a funeral to send off their father after a sudden death. The family has no tact as they munch on ice cream during the service.
Bethany, MO: The South Harrison Theater Department returned to the stage to perform Dearly Departed for the crowd of people who gathered inside the little theater. The play centers on Bud Turpin, played by Micah Beaty, who suddenly dies in the opening minutes of the play. The crowd was shocked and gasped as Beaty, who was speechless during his scene, suddenly tipped over backwards, falling to the stage, his death taking the crowd by surprise on opening night, Friday, March 27th.–By Caleb Osmon
