Bethany, MO: Late into the recent Bethany City Council meeting, Mayor Lance Johns revealed the final missing piece of his plan for the train depot, finding a listing for a train caboose for sale in Hiawatha, Kansas. Mayor Johns, who envisioned the train depot being restored to its former glory complete with a caboose sitting outside, pitched the idea to the council, saying that he had located the train car for $10,000. Admitting to the council he had no idea if that was a good or a bad deal.
