Potential borrowers left out in cold after expiration of loan program

Harrison County, MO: Missouri Treasurer Vivek Malek began accepting applications for a low-interest, state-subsidized loan program for small businesses and farmers at the start of the year. But the $120 million in loans were soon exhausted after two banks filed applications for more than half of the loan funds, according to the Associated Press.
