Officer thanked for rescue

Bethany, MO: Dr. Bill Graham, right, thanks Bethany Police Officer Charlie Bloss, seated on the left, for saving his life after he went into heart arrest and crashed near the Farmer’s Bank on Highway 136. Bloss performed CPR on Dr. Graham whose car had plunged into a ravine. The officer was able to revive the Bethany psychologist who recovered from his heart episode after being flown by Life Flight helicopter to a regional medical center. Dr. Graham attended Monday night’s City Council session along with family members to see Officer Bloss receive a Certificate of Outstanding Performance presented by Mayor Lance Johns and Police Chief Bryan Holloway, seated to Bloss’ right. “I am 80 years old and I have a hero now,” Graham said.–Republican-Clipper photo
