On April 16, 1983 she married Tim Gallagher in Bethany, MO. He survives of the home.
Sheila worked as an office manager for KAAN Radio in Bethany, MO. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #2534 and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church both of Bethany, MO. She enjoyed fishing and loved her grandchildren dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Christina Coates.
Sheila is also survived by her mother, Karen Coates, Bethany, MO; children, Mandy (Darren) Hubbard, Cameron, MO, Jacki (Kaleb) Stout, Excelsior Springs, MO, and Luke Gallagher, Bethany, MO; sister, Tami (Tom) Ashcraft, Hampton, AR; brother, David Coates (Christy Erwin), Bethany, MO; and grandchildren, Heaven, Josephine, Alexia, and Isaiah Peugh, Julia Hubbard, and Kirsten, Ezekiel and Vincent Stout.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Springer Chapel Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO with visitation following from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and/or the United Service Organization in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
