The Bethany Public Library board discussed options for use of a state library and technology grant during its meeting Wednesday evening at the library.
Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft recently announced that 35 small libraries received $173,396 in state aid. The Bethany library and the other 34 libraries each received $4,954 of funding for use on literacy efforts and technology upgrades. Each of the libraries elected for funding serving a library population of fewer than 4,500 patrons and a budget of less than $100,000.
