Former Bethany officer named superintendent of Highway Patrol

Top Missouri lawman: Missouri Governor Mike Parson congratulates Eric Olson who was appointed superintendent of the Highway Patrol. Lt. Colonel Olson formerly was an officer stationed in Bethany. His appointment will await confirmation by the Missouri Senate.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson last week appointed Eric T. Olson, formerly of Bethany, as the superintendent of the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Colonel Olson became the 24th superintendent of the Highway Patrol. The patrol traces its history to 1931 when Lewis Ellis of Bethany received the appointment as the first leader of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
