Muriel Dean Watson, 103 (formerly of rural McFall, MO) passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at New Mark Care Center, Kansas City, MO.
She was born August 15, 1912 in McFall, MO the daughter of Percy and Stella (Rice) Rhoades. They preceded her in death.
She graduated from McFall High School in 1931.On February 29, 1936 she married Vincent Watson. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1994.
Muriel was a dedicated farm wife and rural teacher where she taught for six years after attending Maryville Teacher’s College. She was also a member of McFall Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Muriel is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Watson.
Survivors include daughter, Eileen (Ed) Fitzgerald, Kansas City, MO daughter-in-law, Judy Watson, Cameron, MO; sister, Norma Robertson, Cameron, MO; grandchildren, Mark (Esther) Fitzgerald, Plano, TX, Marla (Joe) Langeneckert, Plattsburg, MO, and Marsha Fitzgerald, Kansas City, MO; 2 great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jason Fitzgerald; special niece, Marilyn (Gary) Vincent, Frisco, TX; brother-in-law, C.A. (Betty) Watson, Columbia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, McFall, MO.
