Harrison County, MO: Area firefighters responded to a fire at a meat processing building on July 4 at 15290 Highway F, northwest of Bethany. The fire was called in at about 11:20 a.m. on Monday morning, according to Fire Chief Jacob Denum. The Bethany, New Hampton, Albany and North Harrison fire departments and the Grand River ambulance responded to the fire. Denum said the fire cause heavy smoke damage through the building. Fire damage occurred above the smoker. “It looked like an office area and smoke room were the primary areas involved,” Denum said.--Submitted photo
