Bethany Memorial Park pictured right, didn’t look anything like spring after the snowstorm on Thursday, April 16. More than three inches fell in Bethany and even higher amounts were reported in the north by Friday morning in a narrow band of snow that crossed northern Missouri and southern Iowa. The bird in a small garden in front of the shelterhouse appeared to be shivering in the snow. Heavy snowfall covered everything up north including the park in Eagleville.
