District champions: South Harrison football players lift up the plaque they won after defeating Putnam County to win the Class 1, District 8 championship Friday night at Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs will be playing in the state quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon against Mid-Buchanan. The game will be in Faucett.
South Harrison’s football team is two games away from playing in the school’s first-ever state championship game.
The Bulldogs took care of business Friday night by beating Putnam County 30-13 in a game that gave them the District 8 championship.
