The former concrete plant in Bethany, sitting along side Beekmen and 12th Street, was officially purchased by the city weeks ago. Since then parts the land has been cleared of old concrete, rocks and shrubs. The City purchased the land to clean up the degrading buildings and restore the area.
Bethany, Mo: George Hulet, Regional Manager at PeopleService, and Josh Jones, PeopleService, addressed the council about a recent inspection that yielded three significant deficiencies and three unsatisfactory findings. After reading the report, Lance Johns, the mayor of Bethany, told the duo, “This isn’t as bad as you made it out to be.” Hulet responded, “Well, I thought it was going to be a lot worse.”(To read more purchase a Republican-Clipper newspaper)
