Eagleville, MO: Barbara Elaine Oliver, 86, Eagleville, MO passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, in St. Joseph, MO.
She was born on March 1, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to Helen Oliver and Ernest Oliver.
Barbara worked as a medical transcriptionist. She owned her own business for many years, and this was her passion in life. She was the very best and was at the top of her profession.
She loved to travel, sing, and play the guitar around the campfire, and of course she loved her children and grandchildren very much. She loved the mountains and the redwoods where we all grew up in Felton and Ben Lomond, California. She also loved the country and as she would say, “The huge raindrops in Missouri”. She always wanted a farm and that’s how she ended up in Eagleville, MO.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Young; father, Ernest W. Oliver; stepfather, Fred A. Young; sister, Marjorie E. Oliver; husband, James T. Glenn and her dearest and closest friend, Karen Jennings.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Peggy L. Glenn; sons Todd M. Glenn and James A. Glenn; grandsons, Sterling T. Glenn, James T. Coleman; three great granddaughters, Bentley Glenn, Zaeyah Jennings, and Aspen Glenn; niece Michele Bateman; and a close family friend, Margaret Shoffner.
Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026 in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO.
