At a quick pace the flag moves through the town of Bethany, spotted by the veterans memorial overlooking the park. Jack Sams, (holding the flag) from Minneapolis, Minnesota, runs this leg of the relay. The man on the far right is Elliot, the media coordinator of the flag relay who kept pace and filmed the event.
Bethany, MO: Two marathon runners came up with an interesting way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday by running a flag from San Francisco to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., in just twenty non-stop days, ending on July 4th.
