
Martinsville, MO: Colette Perkins, 89, of Martinsville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at her home.
Colette was born on January 19, 1937, in Springville, Utah to Mansuel Grover and Esta Viola (Pierce) Singleton. The middle of twelve children. She grew up and attended Springville schools. On February 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald Dale Perkins at the LDS Church in Springville by Bishop Lewis B. Childs. Together that had ten children: Donald “Eugene”, Brian, Tony, Mary, James, Cliffton, Reo, Coleen, Danny, and Adrianna.
Colette was a member of the LDS Church for most of her life and also attended Morris Chapel in Bethany, Missouri. She was a primary teacher for 32 years and helped with Cub Scouts. She also was a part of the Prairie Queen Quilting. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, and making all of her quilts by hand. She enjoyed taking her children hiking when they were young and going to the ocean.
Colette was preceded in death by her parents, Mansel and Esta Singleton; her husband, Donald Perkins; sons, Brian Perkins, Tony Perkins, and Reo Perkins; grandson, Markay; granddaughter, Sammy; daughters in law, Ruby Perkins and Rhonda Perkins; and siblings, Arlene, Bud, Ivan, Michael John, Mary, Roma, and Silvia. She is survived by her children, Donald “Eugene” Perkins (Julie) of Logan, UT, Mary McIntosh (David) of Martinsville, MO, James Perkins of Eagle Mountain, UT, Cliffton Perkins (Shannon) Puyallup, WA, Coleen Raplee of Grandburry, TX, Danny Perkins (Robin) of Marysville, WA, and Adrianna Lohrey (Chris) of Tacoma, WA; 47 grandchildren; 122 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; daughters in law, Maria Perkins of Arizona City, AZ and Tess Perkins of Marysville, WA; and siblings, Larry, Anita, Shirley, and Maxine.
Colette loved her children and grandchildren and always put them first. She loved being able to teach. She was very spiritual and loved her Father in Heaven. She always put her family first and will be missed by her loving family.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1102 N. 18th St., Albany, MO 64402. A visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Colette will be cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
