Bethany, MO: A mountain of shoes in all sizes and colors are arrayed before Harrison County school guidance counselors during a distribution day at the VeNue Thursday in Bethany. Some 450 shoes were collected during the Rotary Club’s Shoes for Orphan Souls drive, with about half destined for students at local schools and the others collected for Rotary International’s worldwide distribution effort. Each guidance counselor picked out a selection of shoes and socks that will be given to pupils at their schools.
