The South Harrison and Gilman City girls’ basketball teams came to the end of the road in their respective state quarterfinal games on Friday night. The Lady Bulldogs were beaten 69-46 by Lone Jack in the Class 3 tournament at St. Joseph. In the Class 1 quarterfinals, Rock Port held off the Lady Hawks 43-31 in Maysville. Both Harrison County teams came up a game short of advancing to the final four in Columbia.
