The deadlock that had prevented an agreement on the future of ambulance service in the area was broken Thursday night when the Big Creek Ambulance District board voted unanimously to begin advertising for an administrator and medical director required for the district to become licensed as an ambulance service.
The previous 3-3 tie between the six-member board over hiring an administrator had left the elected Big Creek district in limbo. But, with an overflow crowd in attendance at the board meeting, the two sides came together to vote 6-0 to create a job description for the administrative positions.
