Cainsville, MO: Richard Gerald Zopff, 79, of Cainsville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Mosaic Medical Center in Albany, Missouri.
Richard was born on July 23, 1946 in Dearborn, Michigan to Richard and Louise (Josz) Zopff. He grew up in Michigan and attended school there before enlisting in the United States Navy where he worked with nuclear power on the ships. He retired from the navy after 23 years and then went back to work at the nuclear power plant in Idaho for 10 years. He and his wife Debora then moved to Missouri where they made their home for the last 14 years.
Richard enjoyed being outside, working on machinery, traveling around the state, working in the yard, and visiting with his neighbors. He just never could sit still. He was always up and going.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Debora, and his family in Michigan.
Richard was cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home. His family will have a private memorial service in Michigan at a later date.
