
Lawson, MO: Steven Bradley Carter, 48, Lawson, Mo. (formerly of Bethany, Mo.) passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at a North Kansas City, Mo. hospice facility.
He was born on October 5, 1977 in North Kansas City, Mo. the son of Garry Dean and Maryke (deJong) Carter. They preceded him in death.
On May 5, 2001, he married Melenaite in Independence, Mo.
Steven was a graduate of Pattonsburg High School and then attended Grand Canyon University receiving a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. He worked in logistics for KU Medical Center and was an associate pastor for Mosaic Bible Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife Naite Carter, of the home; children Salaevalu, Eugene, Bradley, and Maryke, grandchildren Nafanua, Uriah, Jaylen, Jayden, Helaman, JeVon, and Hilton, brothers Scott (Julie) Carter, Poteau, Okla. and Gregg (Tiffany) Carter, Overland Park, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo. Burial will follow in McFall Cemetery, McFall, Mo. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
