Bethany, MO: During the last City Council meeting, Bethany’s problem fire truck was once again the subject of debate. Mayor Lance Johns revealed to the council the truck was going back in for more repairs, a surprising statement since the council had chosen to unload the fire truck late last year after Fire Chief Jacob Denum recommended selling the truck so the defunct vehicle would quit burning a hole in the city’s budget. The truck has had a history of not being able to return to base under the vehicle’s own power after being called out to a fire scene.
