
Ridgeway, MO: David Eugene Landes, 67, Ridgeway, MO passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at his home.
David was born January 9, 1959 in Bethany, MO the son of Elden, Jr. and Evelyn Jean (Taylor) Landes. They preceded him in death.
He was a 1977 graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany, MO. David’s occupational dream was to have a family farm. He went to work for Doc Dale who gave him the nickname of Quacky that stuck with him the rest of his life. He bought and drove a truck, then began mechanic work for Watson Farm Supply in Bethany. He then opened his own shop in Ridgeway, Mo.
He took immense pride in the 2 sons he raised, as well as seeing both serve in the Military as his father did. Some of his hobbies were Rodeo, Team roping, cattle work, music especially playing music, archery, and going to the mountains on hunting trips. He enjoyed Nascar and sprint car racing, and pretty much all sports. He was good at anything he did. He enjoyed his grandchildren and time with family.
David is survived by his partner, Peggy Thomsen and her children, Rachel, Natalie, Tyrell, Shaie, and their spouses; sons, Blade Landes, Bethany, MO and his children, Emma and Charlie; Kirk Miller, Florida and his children, Bradley, Avril, Grayson, and Jaxson; 11 additional grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Craig; nephew, Matthew (Sydney) Craig and their children, Maisyn and Grant; and many other family members and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Harrison County Hospice in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
