
Bethany, MO: With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of Douglas Todd Shipers, a beloved father, brother, son, and uncle on November 28, 2025, at the age of 59. Todd’s life was marked by loyalty, laughter, and a deep love for the people and passions that brought him joy. We take comfort in knowing he is now in the presence of his Savior, Jesus, whose grace he trusted throughout his life.
He was born on May 25, 1966, in Bethany, Missouri the son of Jim and Beverly (Blessing) Shipers.
An avid race fan and devoted participant in fantasy sports leagues, Todd faced the loss of his sight with remarkable resilience. His enthusiasm for the activities he loved—and the friends he shared them with—never faded. Todd’s kindness, generosity, and ability to make anyone feel welcome touched all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Shipers, and his first wife, Tina Shipers.
Todd is survived by his girlfriend, Pam Gannan of St. Joseph, MO; his father, Jim Shipers of Bethany, MO; and his sisters, DaLana Neeley (Darrell) of Brookfield, MO, and Cindy Hunter (Mark) of Bethany, MO. He is also survived by his children—Chris (Nichi), Matt (Ali), Jordan (Rachel), Seth, Kylea, Kate, Emily, Carter, and Abigail—and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he dearly loved.
He will be remembered always, loved forever, and missed beyond measure.
Todd has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will hold a Celebration of Life from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27 at Eckards Community Center, Bethany, MO. Condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
