Bethany, MO: Beverly Jean Merritt, 94, Bethany, Mo., passed away Wednesday October 22, 2025, at a Bethany, Mo. nursing home.
She was born on October 15, 2025, in Blue Ridge, Mo., the daughter of Roy William and Minnie Acaleene (Huffman) Wiley.
Beverly was a graduate of Gilman City High School and worked in banking as a loan and trust officer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester Merritt, grandson Jason Cox, brother Bobby Wiley, half-sister Margery Gillett, and half-brother John David Wiley.
Beverly is survived by her son, Ike Cox, step-daughter Brenda Smith, granddaughter Monica Cox, great grandsons Quinton Cox and Tyler Pankau, great granddaughters Maggie Pankau, Tia Hunsucker, and Sabrina Wonsetler, great-great grandsons Rhett Isaac Cox, Wyatt Hunsucker, and Jaydon Wonsetler, great-great granddaughters Everly Grace Huffman and Celeste Hunsucker, half-siblings Jean Hovey, Debra Taylor, Gary Taylor, and Garland Taylor, and stepsister, Chlodean Smith.
Beverly has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo.
Private family inurnment will be held in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, Mo. A Celebration of Life will be held at Toot-Toot Restaurant, Bethany, Mo. on Thursday, October 30 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
