Bethany, MO: Josephine Pruitt, 83, of Bethany, MO passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at a Bethany, MO hospital.
She was born on March 21, 1942, in Carroll County, Missouri the daughter of Ralph and Grace (Statham) Jones.
Josephine will be lovingly remembered by those who knew her for her genuine love and affection. If only we could all see the world through her eyes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; daughter, Alice; son, Jack; grandson, Caleb Linthacum; and great granddaughter, Jordin Jennings.
Josephine is survived by her daughters, Jacklyn (Clay) Swan, and JoeAnn Atchley; brother, Jay (Chris) Newton; sister, Hannah (Larry) Slayden; grandchildren, Melinda Rader, Lan Thompson, Lien Nguyen, Jarred Cole Smith, Jessica Burrows, Dena Wiley, Cassie Johnson, and Adam Linthacum; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crestview Activity Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
