As one bull rider is thrown from the beast the rodeo clowns spring in to action, putting their life on the line as they step between the rider and bull.

A rider is tossed to the dirt during the bull riding show. The Northwest Missouri State Fair kicked off its opening Thursday evening with the new rodeo event, packing the stands and entertaining the crowd.

The Harrison County Food Pantry were stationed just inside the gates of the fair. Welcoming visitors and excepting donations to their worthy cause.
