Babe Adams baseball field doubles as a soccer field for youth league on the weekend. Some council members proposed a large-scale plan to bring multiple sports fields to Bethany. The plan was discussed at the latest council meeting while the Parks and Rec. Department was on hand to add any feedback to the plan. The parks department planed to return with an idea of cost to see if the council would be willing to move forward.
Bethany, MO: During the Bethany council meeting held on Monday, Councilman Larry Simpson took the opportunity to speak with the parks department about relocating the soccer field, which currently sits behind the gym, to a new location, specifically the wide-open space on the Israel land. Simpson began outlining the many benefits the move could bring, not only resolving current parking issues at the gym but also addressing complaints from neighbors and creating a space that could attract people from outside the community.
